Rebuilding
Together Albuquerque is the Albuquerque
affiliate of Rebuilding Together.
Rebuilding
Together-Albuquerque is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is operated
by a community-based board of volunteer directors. In 1997 Rebuilding
Together-Albuquerque was officially established to make a bigger impact
in the Albuquerque metropolitan area.
Our
Mission
We are dedicated
to renovating the homes of
low-income homeowners who are elderly or disabled, so they may continue
to live in comfort with dignity and independence. We unite volunteers
from all walks of life to help people in need. All repairs and services
are paid for by Rebuilding Together-Albuquerque.
Our Goals
Rebuilding
Together with Christmas in April-Albuquerque began in 1994 with the renovation
of just five homes. Today, we are renovating 10 to 15 homes annually
with a 10-year goal of 100 homes annually. We are proud of our
projects and with your help, we can achieve and even exceed
this noble goal.
Services Provided
Our staff
of committed volunteers is the backbone of our organization. We provide
a wide range of services which include yard work, tree trimming, gutter
cleaning, trash removal, painting, lock work,
smoke detector installation and the construction of wheel chair ramps
and walker steps.
Clients
If you are in need or know of someone who can benefit from
our services please follow the application instructions provided on the
Eligibility page. Potential
clients go through a screening administered by the Selection Committee
for acceptance into the program.
Volunteers
Do you enjoy helping others and making new friends? If
yes, you qualify to be a volunteer. No special skills are needed, just
the desire to help others (although any special skills you have will be
a plus). Please refer to the volunteering information provided on the
How To Help page.
Donations
We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, non-sectarian organization
and all donations are tax deductible. We accept monetary donations as
well as in-kind donations (e.g., paint brushes, paint, electrical supplies,
tools, hardware, tiles). Please refer to the donations information provided
on the How To Help page.
Sponsors
We need house
sponsors. If you or your company/organization would like to become a
house sponsor with the donation of $2500 for one home or more please
contact Gary A. Blea at (505)244-6626.
